(around the table) - at the end of a day

 A Sunday at 8:15 pm. My little one is in bed after a day's adventures. For her, discoveries of lost dolls and almost all of the doctoring kit that had gone missing.


Here is a day, I would like just to pay attention to family and home. A day to catch up on cooking, laundry and getting ready for week's new beginning.  A quiet and restoring day that gives balance to work days business.



This Sunday, our experiment with homemade pasta was successful ...thankfully. As quickly as the fettuccine and spaghetti was made, it was cooked and eaten. (The picture of the lovely pasta is missing, we were too hungry to wait).

 But at the end of the day, I am left with the dirty dishes and pots to clean and put away. Reflecting on the week to come and whether I should add more sea salt to pasta dough the next time around.
